DaySpring

Dayspring is rundown but not a dump. It’s held together with love and hard work. It’s full of people and their things but there's still space from those that need it. It’s always warm and inviting. It’s not grand, or majestic and It’s dirty around the edges, but not because it isn’t clean. It’s earned its dirt through years of use. It’s a patina that’s worked into the paint that you can’t scrub off. It’s feels both eternal and days away from collapsing all at the same time. Nothing is new, from the clothing, to the toys and furniture. Doors creek and cabinets don’t all line up. Nothing is perfect.

There’s a feeling of warmth and calm despite the chaos of raising children. The sun literally pours into the house. The outside world losses focus because here you are safe. Here you are loved.
